Talented young folk and pop singer/songwriter in Washington DC, reminiscent of Natalie Merchant and Suzanne Vega. At 18, she already has two CDs and a regional contemporary folk award. Definitely check her out. Wedged somewhere between the newly-emerging 1990s grunge scene and gangsta rap, the daughters of power-pop pioneers Brian Wilson and John Phillips joined forces in a touchy-feely girl group that momentarily rode the coattails of late ’80s singer-songwriter icons Tracey Chapman and Natalie Merchant—and certainly channeled the Bangles. Natali Del Conte from CNET appeared on Fox and Friends this morning to discuss the Wii and a few other gadgets.
